With funding from United States Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, WOHED supported Nairobi County to implement Countering Violent Extremism Project achieving:

More than 100 youth in the communities benefitted from trainings on countering violence extremism groups
More than 20+ dialogues with the youth and stakeholders in the urban slums and villages conducted to discuss the methods of mitigating the recruitment of young people into violent extremism groups
More than 30+ youth and the girls empowered to become self reliant in order to face the challenges that often lead them to joining the violent groups
